Purpose of NUA
Pursuant to provisions of Basic Act on Education (Act No.120 of 2006) and School Education Act (Act No.26 of 1947), the purpose of NUA is to carry out education and research in specialized scholarship and arts concerning the arts and specialized knowledge on human development, to give liberal arts education, and thereby to foster human resources who are able to contribute to the arts, culture and human development in Japan.
Vision and Values
NUA aims to realize creation of new values by cross-cutting academic engagement based on well-balanced educational concepts with intelligence and sensitivity. The university also intends to contribute to the local community and society by intensifying its effort into career education, by strengthening cooperation with local governments and businesses, and by developing education and research with the arts.

Purpose of the School of the Arts
Purpose of the School of the Arts is to encourage its students to acquire specialized skills and wide knowledge in the arts, and to foster human resources who are able to contribute for creation and development of the arts and culture with their imagination and practical skills.
Purpose of the School of Education
Purpose of the School of Education is to encourage its students to acquire rich sensitivity through education of theory and techniques in child nursing and education, and to foster nursery teachers and educators with rich sensitivity who are able to support children’s growth and development.

The School of the Arts aims to foster human resources with excellent personalities who are able to contribute to the local community and society by carrying out education in specialized scholarship and arts concerning the arts and by giving liberal arts education.
Vision and Values of the School of Education
The School of Education encourages its students to acquire sensitivity and ability to support children’s growth and development in the aspects of both education and welfare by learning theory and skills in childcare and education, by experiencing practical trainings, and by cultivating artistic sensitivity. The school aims to foster nursery teachers,kindergarten teachers, and elementary school teachers who are able to contribute to the local community.

Diploma Policy of School of the Arts |
The School of the Arts grants Bachelor of Arts Degree to those who have acquired skills and knowledge to contribute to the society through implementation of their specialties, and completed credit requirements for graduation. |
